It consists of the molecular structure of the shells and skeletons of shellfish shells and skeletons into hydrophilic, cationic, polymerised poly glucosomine granules with nanotechnology. Chitosan is classified as linear polysaccharide (poly-n-glicosomine). It has strong ionic properties. 100% biocompatible, safe, non-burning, potentially antibacterial (Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Legionella pneumophilla, Pseudomonas aerunginosa and Proteus mirabilis), anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties.<\/p>\n

As presented in Celox, sterilised chitosan is a powder that can be broken down into small amounts and absorbed by the body. Celox granules are also important in their molecular structure in terms of anti-allergic properties and do not contain proteins, lipids and minerals. Celox is also used for haemostasis in patients using blood thinners.<\/p>\n

Aseptic technique must always be applied. Apply a generous amount of Celox to the bleeding site (see instructions for use on the package insert) and apply compression until haemostasis is achieved. After haemostasis is achieved, Celox should be removed from the site by irrigation and\/or aspiration. Opened packages should not be used.<\/p>\n

      Celox particles have a hydraulic molecular structure that provides natural haemostasis by condensing the organelles in the blood (platelets, erythrocytes and blood proteins) to form a gel-like matrix on the surface. The matrix formed by the condensed gel form forms a barrier preventing further blood loss and ensures haemostasis even in the presence of anti-coagulants (heparin sodium, warferin sodium, coumadin, aspirin, etc.). Celox cross-links with minus charged erythrocyte cells with its cationic molecular structure. The concentration of clotting factors, cross-linked red blood cells and activated platelets due to the hydrophilic property of Celox makes coagulation strong. After haemostasis is achieved, it is recommended to remove Celox from the wound using sterile water or saline.<\/p>\n
